The portrait photos were taken while each person closed their eyes, rested for a few seconds and then opened their eyes again. All people were photographed during the global COVID-19 pandemic in Berlin in April 2020. The youngest child is 5 years old and the oldest woman is 106 years old. They are people from different ethnic backgrounds from many different nations around the world.
